synopsisA story about falling into the habit of doing things only because “that’s just how it’s always been”.
A child driven by curiosity questions her family’s ways when their habits create a problem that nobody can find a solution for, as the adults aren’t used to thinking outside the box. In the end, the child and the adults join their individual strengths (the child’s perceptiveness and the adult’s lived experiences) to work together and find a solution.
back cover blurbOne day, the Loakers arrive at a valley that has everything they could possibly need to set up camp.

However, just as the swarm takes down more and more trees to make their huts, the initially inviting valley is mysteriously struck by tremendous gusts of wind. Pebble, an inquisitive member of the swarm, realises that there might be a connection between the Loakers’ enthusiastic deforestation and the gales that have brought their new camp crumbling down.

But will she be able to convince the Loakers to take a second look at their deep-rooted ways?
